My name is Vito Di Bari; this is my story.
I was born in Bari, Italy. After graduating from my university,
I wanted to see the world - to live different lives in different places.
I left Bari and I haven't stopped yet: Milan, New York, Los Angeles, Milan again, Paris, Miami.
Now, I live like Robinson Crusoe, on a small island in the northwest of Florida,
on the Gulf of Mexico.
It all started because I felt that I had something to tell.
I wrote my story one chapter at a time, chasing challenges without knowing
where I was headed.

I started out as a journalist, then a radio and television host. I was Vice President of a television network in New York and a film producer in Los Angeles. I returned to Italy where I became a professor in the Faculty of Design at the Poly technic University of Milan, then the director of the International Multimedia Institute of UN’s UNESCO in Paris and Innovation Designer of the World Fair - the Universal Expo in Milan. I have written 14 books and given more than two hundred conferences around the world, including five TED Talks on five different continents. OK, this was the first part of my life...I returned to the US and started my second life, that of an artist. Not of paintings, but rather, large-scale artworks created for cities and states. Let's stop for a moment... I want to show you some of my works. They are in public places, all around the world.

My Equilibria is a 7 meter (23 foot) tall sculpture, weighing 4000. kg (8,800 pounds) with which the public can interact to synchronize body and mind. You can find it in 25 countries around the world, on 5 continents. From Milan to Miami Beach, Athens to Singapore, Barcelona to Hong Kong, and South Africa to New Zealand.

Some of my art works can be found on the bottom of the sea, in the Gulf of Mexico. Like this sculpture tha tree presents an endangered species of sea turtle. The sculpture includes 34 limestone modules, each measuring 1.2 cubic meters (43cubic feet). The lime stone has become covered with coral, creating a “living” sculpture that has repopulated fish, fauna, and extends over a total surface area of41 cubic meters (1,462 cubic feet)

This sculpture is located in Norman, a college town in Oklahoma. “Elevate the Game ”represents the three sports of YFAC, the largest sports center in the state and stands 6 meters(20 feet) tall.

I love animals, so I was happy to create Louisiana State University’s landmark for their veterinary school - the most prestigious veterinary university in the USA. It is called “In our hands”, and stands 5 meters (16 feet) tall, weighing 3600 kg (8000 pounds)

“Trails of Expressions” is the largest interactive mural in Florida, created for the city of Coral Springs, coming in at 500 square meters (5,500 square feet). When seen through your smartphone’s lens, the mural comes to life with all the artists performing the show depicted.

Ten years after I returned to the US, the COVID pandemic halted life and for a couple of years, all public art came to a standstill. At that point, being an artist had become my profession, but I was forced to take a forced rest because of the lockdown. It was then that I decided to work on several collections of paintings. It is my new challenge and I wanted to give you a sneak preview here.
They are themed collections, each dedicated to extraordinary stories.
Two of the collections represent the stories of legendary men and women, icons of our time
in which the best part of ourselves is mirrored.
Another represents stories of fantastic animals, surreal hybrid creatures symbolizing
our values and our personality.
I hope you will welcome my Art of Extraordinary Stories
into your home, making it one-of-a-kind.
